Beginning in August 2022 I have been freelancing for the Lewisville High School Theatre department. I am responsible for promoting their plays through logo and artwork design, posters, programs, t-shirts, social media, emails and a new website design. I also take photos to use in the advertising.

I accepted the contract to work for 3 months supporting the design team at Trinity Consultants with their anticipated increase in work preparing for their 50th Anniversary. My contract continued being extended from October to the end of May. I assisted in all requested projects from supportive forms for all state offices to LinkedIn graphics, updating materials for the web and events, creating images for their web redesign, editing video events for online courses and working on the quarterly magazine. Although most of their projects are set templates, I enjoyed some creativity and supporting a wonderful team of designers.

I have been enjoying creative projects at Dallas Theological Seminary for over 18 years. An institute of higher learning, DTS strives to provide theological education through a large variety of degree programs at the Dallas location and other extension sites. Over the years, I have seen the Seminary grow and offer increasing numbers of classes online and full degrees in Chinese and Spanish both in-person and online. As a designer in the Marketing & Communications department I have created a variety of printed and digital projects for departments, professors and the Seminary as a whole.

VarTec offered cellular service packages through a variety of plans. I produced advertising to promote the different plans and company as a whole. This included print ads, direct mail promotions, bill stuffer inserts and ValPack inserts. I enjoyed working independently, collaboratively with other designers and an editor to complete these projects.

Over 5 years of working at Integrity Publishing, I created a series of interior decorating magazines for cities across the United States. The annual magazines expanded in cities covered and soon became a semi-annual magazine distributed on news stands. Working with the sales team I would create a flat plan to organize all the pages, create new or review submitted ads (either digital or film) and prepare the finished magazine for print while securing advertiser approvals. Once completed I sent each magazine to the printer, reviewed proofs and ensured a quality product.

UAP is know for their For Rent magazine but also offered several other publications. I worked as a team with another designer on two magazines. Their photography magazine featured articles about techniques and camera equipment for professional to amateur photograhers. Together we designed the layout, ads and articles to prepare the magazine for print. I.S. Business Partners was a special issue magazine that was later introduced. I worked with my design partner to create the layout of all articles and ads in this business focused magazine as well.

I was the only designer at this family run, full-service print shop, which meant that I designed all projects that came through the door. We specialized in making the customer happy with quick turnarounds, creative design services and onsite printing. I helped the pressman by printing negatives to create plates and ran RC paper for customers who needed camera-ready art for newspapers. We offered a local printing option to over 60 local business including Community Credit Union, MidPark, Jeep/Eagle, Stonebridge Ranch and Plano Chamber of Commerce.

At the Beaird Agency, our main clients were Bennigan’s and Steak & Ale so we created many special food and seasonal campaigns. Although it was a small advertising agency, I enjoyed working with the sales team, creative director and other designers to create concepts, produce materials to be used in the restaurants and participate in new client proposals.
