Welcome to my first website! I wanted to create a portfolio site and learn to use WordPress. So after working with a friend to learn the basics, I jumped in and made the site you are now on. I started with a simple design in 2021 and have continued to grow and develop the site to what you see today. I did not use any templates on this site. It is all my unique design.
I wanted to redesign their website when I began working with the Lewisville High School Theatre department. The original site they have used for years was hosted on webs.com and needed an update. After some research, we discovered that webs.com is converting all its accounts to VistaPrint and will then use Wix for hosting. We agreed it was time for me to work on a new Wix design. I started the work in September 2022, and we have now transferred their domain name to the new design that went live at the end of March 2023! Although many pages started with the templates offered in Wix, I changed and adjusted each page to be user-friendly and highlight the theatre information. I enjoyed learning the Wix program and will continue to update and improve their site. Although I tracked down photography from past years, I have taken all the 2022–23 season photos and will continue to be their photographer moving forward.
The Theatre Department also works with an external ticketing site that I have linked to our site for tickets, merchandise, and donations. I have created original artwork for all of the merchandise available. I can do some customization on the site, but it is overall a set format.
I aim to provide a resource for students, directors, parents, and the community. Please visit the site any time and even come for a show. I will keep it updated moving forward, adding pages and links to meet the needs of our diverse audience.
