For almost 19 years, I worked on the Marketing & Communications team as it has gone through leadership changes. Respected and known worldwide, DTS offers theological training through various degree programs, on and off-campus events, online classes (some free without degree credit), and publications.
My primary focus has been on print project deliverables for departments across the campus and the design layout of the over 300-page catalog. I worked closely with an editor in the Academic Dean’s office for all text updates. I have produced 18 annual catalogs on time, all available in print and as pdfs on the DTS website. 2020 was the first year to offer an online-only PDF version of the catalog. The catalog version was interactive, and I developed the procedures to ensure that it was ADA compliant with Acrobat Reader capabilities.
In 2021 DTS celebrated the induction of its 6th president at a weekend event.

Making its debut at the 2021 presidential inauguration, the Seminary used the series of banners at many events throughout the weekend. There are plans to incorporate them into a historical collection on campus in the future.
This program was saddle-stitched as a booklet, and the solid purple cover included the darker flame above, representing the blind emboss on the final piece.
The majority of funding for DTS comes from donors. Among the academic departments at DTS, there is also an Advancement department responsible for events and other projects to raise money for the Seminary. To complement the Advancement department, Dallas Seminary Foundation offers donors financial information and investing aids, encouraging them to invest in DTS throughout their life and beyond, leaving a financial legacy for future students.

The Admissions department regularly offers a preview day event for potential students to spend a day on campus. I designed this banner from a photo session with a freelance photographer that I art directed.

This piece continues the theme of the photo shoot.

The Alumni department works to support and encourage the DTS alums who work and serve around the world. A series of birthday postcards were started to annually featuring a new professor with their favorite recipe. I enjoyed creating this series of cards with the idea that, over the years, alums will collect a set of recipes from the DTS professors they know and love.

I had the privilege to work with an excellent editor on several issues of the DTS Magazine. Together we created award-winning designs. At the April 2021 Evangelical Press Association conference, DTS Magazine received The 2021 Higher Goals Awards that honor the best work done in EPA publications during the 2020 calendar year. As a graphic designer, I was awarded First Place: DTS Magazine, “Longing for Home,” “Dancing the One Step: Pursuing God after Seminary,” and “Walking with God Through Grief.”

The Hendricks Center is a part of DTS and a separate organization responsible for providing leadership materials and information to DTS and the community. They do many programs, including topical conferences on campus, and give The Table podcast on current topics. I produced postcard invites, event booklets, and other materials to support the events of this department.

Many handbooks and projects instruct students and complete the Seminary’s accreditation requirements. These handbooks are then available to the students on the DTS website in PDF format. I was responsible for working with the departments to update the design and format the text changes they provided each year.
